My Wits Portal is the portal that gives students easy access to all the information they need. It is the portal that connects students to the Help Desk.
The portal does not only help you talk to the Help Desk but also speeds up the resolution process.
How To Use My Wits Portal
The My Wits Portal has a website address that you can visit from any web browser. There is also a mobile app that you can install on your phone to make it even easier.
To use the web version, simply visit the website link. You Should see a page similar to the image below.
To use the mobile version, you must download it from the Play Store or App Store following the procedure below.
- Go to the App Store or Play Store and search “Ivanti Service Manager“.
- After installing and opening the app, enter this URL: ( https://witshelp-ism.saasiteu.com/ ) into the Tenant URL field and click “Continue“.
- When done, Log in to the portal using your Wits Self Service Username and Password.
- To open a ticket or report an issue, click on “Service Catalogue“
- Click on “New Ticket“
- Click on the “Request” button.
- Select the appropriate department, describe your issue, make sure you upload any attachments necessary, and click on the “Submit” button.
- You can also view your tickets by selecting “My items” from the Dashboard.

How To Reset Your Password
We all have our worst times when we have forgotten our passwords or the password we think must work is not working. Yes, it is normal.
This is what you should do if you find yourself in such a situation.
- Simply go to https://passwordreset.wits.ac.za/default.aspx
- Enter your Username which in most cases, is your Student ID Number.
- Click “Next” and answer the rest of the questions correctly and you will get to choose a new password for yourself.
