I know there are instances where you wished you could take a shot or actually you did take the shot with your phone from your computer screen. Not bad for you but you still won’t get the quality of the shot.
In this new article, I’m going to teach you how to take screenshots from your computer screen. It is a very simple task and you can do it without any computer knowledge at all.
You won’t be needing any special tool or app because everything that is needed is built into the Windows operating system. Or should I say into the latest version of Windows?
Back in the days when computers run on Windows Vista, XP and the earlier versions, this was how I simply take my screenshots. I only copy everything on the active screen, paste it in Paint Application and ‘Save As’ image. Sometimes, I crop some parts when necessary.
How I do it
Press Ctrl+PrtScn simultaneously. After that, I launch the Paint Application by navigating to Start> Type in the search area ‘Paint’ and hit the enter key. Press Ctrl+V to paste my printed screen and then I save it as image from paint.
Since the latest versions of the Windows Operating Systems now come with a Snipping tool, there is no need going through all the copy and paste hustle.
How to do it now
Navigate to start as usual, type in the search area ‘Snipping Tool‘. Depending on which version of Windows you are using, you will see something like the image below.
You can set the ‘mode‘ to take a shot of the full screen or just some highlighted area of the screen. This tool gives you even more options than what you can get from taking the shot with the camera of your phone. The shortcut keys still will work with this tool as well but you won’t need to paste anything into Paint Application. All you will have to do is save your shot.
It is as simple as that. You can leave a comment in the box below for suggestions and any other topic you wish I could write on.
